PageLens Is Now Available on Microsoft Edge Add-ons
PageLens brings local-first webpage inspection and security intelligence directly into Microsoft Edge.
PageLens Is Now Available on Microsoft Edge Add-ons
PageLens has reached an important Kanverse milestone: it is now publicly available through Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
PageLens is a local-first webpage intelligence and security inspection tool designed to make complex webpage behaviour easier to understand.
Instead of simply telling users whether a page is "safe" or "dangerous", PageLens exposes signals that deserve attention and gives users more information before they decide what to trust.
What PageLens Can Inspect
PageLens can help examine:
- Webpage scripts and external connections
- Redirects and linked resources
- Known tracker indicators
- Hidden or unusual interactive elements
- Webpage structure and behaviour
- Page DNA information
Its inspection tools include:
- Scan Page
- Hidden-Layer Reveal
- X-Ray Mode
- Point & Ask
- Page DNA
Local-First Approach
PageLens was designed around a local-first philosophy.
Webpage inspection happens primarily inside the browser, while the Kanverse PageLens control infrastructure is used for managed activation, validation and feature control.
PageLens does not claim that a finding proves a website is malicious or safe. Findings are informational signals intended to help users investigate and understand webpage behaviour.
From Prototype to Public Release
PageLens began as a Kanverse experiment in making webpage security information understandable to ordinary users.
It has now progressed from prototype and testing to a publicly distributed Microsoft Edge extension.
This is also an important step for Kanverse: moving another project beyond demonstration and into software that people can install and use.
